These lads tell everyone McConks is the best SUP brand in the world, and that we make the very best boards in the world. They're wrong of course, but their loyalty is strong, and rather sweet! But as we all know different brands and boards suit different people. There's a bewildering array of boards out there for different budgets, styles, personalities. Why are we mentioning this now? Well, we've just had a lovely call with an established business preordering their first McConks fleet for next year. What they said made us realise that we'll never be the right brand for some people. But what they said about why they're choosing us made us realise that doesn't matter. They chose us because of the personal service, because of our principles, because we have the time to help connect them with other businesses, because we share their principles and world outlook, because we're a real family business, because we share their posts even though they're not customers yet. And a whole heap of other things that made us feel warm and fuzzy inside! Doing things right matter. And they will always matter to us. We'll never sell as many boards as some of the other brands that market in very different ways. But that's OK - 'cause we don't want to be like them. Integrity, ethics, sustainability, social justice, opportunity for all, accessibility, mental health, factories that look after their staff, are just some of the things that matter to us. We have a list as long as our arm! And we deliver on these really important principles as a company and through our #GoInspire charitable foundation. We've been called treehuggers, snowflakes, lefties, boring and other derogatory terms by some. But that's ok. There are other brands for those people. One thing is for sure. We have the best customers, and we work with the best businesses!
