“As usual, he’s hidden way too well. We’ll never find him, let’s go play something else!” Gokotai watched his brothers walk away, tired of searching for Akita. As the hide-and-seek expert he was, Akita had once again found the perfect spot where no one could find him. The young boy clenched his fists. No, he wasn’t going to leave his brother all alone, thinking everyone had given up looking for him! He called his five baby tigers — the ones he wasn’t normally allowed to have with him during games — and asked them to search for Akita. The cubs found a leftover biscuit, an empty sake bottle, Yamanbagiri hiding under his freshly washed cloak, and then, as the day began to fade, they dashed towards the great cherry tree of the citadel. As they drew closer, Gokotai heard a strange sound. Were those… sobs?
