Inktober day 28, sparkle One of the coolest collectables ever
Just like old times! Gold bolt acquired!
Last night was The Killers concert and one of the absolute best nights of my life. I was so happy to go, especially when I thought I wasn’t going to be able to go at all! My boyfriend bought me a shirt and the crowd was alive, very friendly, and sociable (and a little drunk). The show was just incredible. We got there just in time to be close to the stage. The lights were amazing, the set list was perfect, and the pyrotechnics were thrilling. Cannons shot out so much confetti that we could barely see the stage as it rained down shiny lightning bolt and the iconic K’s. In that moment everything was right in the world. Closer to the end of the show I decided to grab some confetti as a souvenir. That’s when I noticed a strange, larger lightning bolt and I wanted a variety of confetti so I picked it up. I was in complete shock when I read what it said and instantly texted a picture to my mom. The moment they played their last note, Justin and I ran to the sound board. We waited as they packed up and one other couple our same age showed up. We chatted with them about how thrilled we were and what could possibly be happening to us. A man eventually showed up and escorted us away, all the while informing us that out of 600 pounds of confetti, there were only two Golden Bolts. I don’t know how I got so lucky. I have literally never won anything out of luck before in my life. The man took us backstage and told us to wait at the table and help ourselves to any of the drinks (which was wonderful because we didn’t bring enough money for anything after the show and we were wiped from high levels of dance participation). The four of us waited, talking about our adrenaline levels, me and the other girl both shaking with excitement. The man came back and presented us each with beautiful signed Battleborn vinyls that were a gorgeous red. He then told us to wait and some of the band members would make their way in. Mr. Flowers was the first to come in after all the VIP ticket holders arrived. All I could do was stare at him. I was in awe that this man in front of me was really in front of me. A lady made sure to bring each member to us. We didn’t have to wait in line. I told Brandon how I had waited seven years to see them live and he was very nice and happy to hear that I finally had made it. His accent is just as cute as everyone says and I thought I would just die, I was so starstruck. Ronnie came in next and he let out a roaring “Hey!” and asked if we won the bolts. I was jumping out of my skin excited and he recognized it and told me to “calm down polka dots” but I joked around, saying I deserved this because I’ve been waiting to see them for so long and he just snatched me up to give me the biggest bear hug and kissed me on the head before humorously apologizing to my boyfriend. Dave was next and he honestly came across as pretty strung out on something. When you talked to him he was fine but then he would just wander off almost in a daze. We never did get to meet Mark because he took longer than the others to wrap up and it was very late and my move in date for school was today. When it was all over I still couldn’t believe it. The chances of anything like this happening to anyone is so slim and it happened to me. I still can’t quite wrap my mind around it all. This band has been a part of my life for so long and I appreciate this experience so much. Last night was one of the best nights of my life.
HOW is this gold bolt gonna work?? wont it be ripped to shreds along with the faces of blood thirsty victims?
