Here’s a pic that’s worth it’s weight in gold! :D What, did you think I WASN’T going to make a gold pun here?

Gold statue TF, now this is a classic peril scenario! I mean, being turned into some kind of statue in any capacity is a classic kink for a lot of people in general but gold statue TF in particular is a fav of mine. And between my characters, the half genie thief Thayla felt like the most fitting to have go through being turned into a gold statue. Mostly because it felt the most ironic considering the amount of gold she’s stolen in her life and now has literally become a treasure herself thanks to being cursed by some gold object, a pissed of sultan she previously ripped off wanting revenge or even just stepping on the Hand of Midas because I got to bring up the original Tomb Raider in some way lol. Which fun fact, despite what that game and a lot of other media that depicts Midis in some way will tell you, his golden touch actually applies to his ENITER body, not just his hand. But I guess the “Anatomically correct body of Midis” might have been a little two much for Tomb Raider lol.

But yeah, this is another pic where there’s many ways you could see the context behind it happening which I guess is kinda what makes this idea so appealing. And considering particular video games were the inspiration for Thayla in a lot of ways, another fun bad end/game over type scenario. Fully turned into an immobile gold statue, unable to do anything but be put on display potentially alongside other poor fools who met the same fate as her and she probaply would pass the time talking two if being a statue didn’t mean you couldn’t talk. I don’t remember when the first time I ever saw some sort of Gold Statue TF scenario in fiction was. Despite making the Tomb Raider joke before I never got the chance to play the original game meaning I never got to chance to play it and experience that infamous transformation scene. It was a pretty common trope to be turned into some sort of statue in a lot of the media I grew up with, gold or otherwise.  I did play the original Spyro the Dragon growing up though which had you rescuing dragons who had been transformed into jade statues if that counts. Think it’s gonna take more than just touching to save Thayla here though heh.
