Roasted some golden beets this evening. Never had them before but they looked beautiful in the store. Didn’t know what to do with them so I just tossed them in olive oil and salt and pepper, then baked them along with the bread I’d made, too. Tastes pretty good! Some people have asked what we will have at the market this weekend so here is a photo sample. Red leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, cabbage, golden beet greens, dinosaur kale, and curly kale. The market is located on the @penncenter1862 campus at the #bigredbarn. This Saturday there will be a special event featuring Vegan Chef Michelle T. Grady who will discuss connections between food and social justice.
