Nick leaves the bathroom to see what quite possibly might be a miracle. Adam is stretched out on the bed, curls spread out across the pillows, sheet draped at an artful angle across his hips. He’s almost glowing, lashes fanning across his skin, and Nick stares.
“I can feel your eyes on me,” Adam mutters. Thankfully, he doesn’t wake up or move beyond his mouth.
“Don’t move,” Nick says, hands out in front of him as he backs up to grab his phone. “I want to take a picture.”
He can see by the furrow in Adam’s brow that he’s baffled but, kindly enough, he doesn’t move. “Uh, why?”
“You – okay, you’ll see it when I show you.” Nick picks up his phone and takes as many shots from different angles as he can. “Okay, I think we’re good.”
“Can I move now?”
“You can move,” Nick confirms.
Adam sits up and stares at him. “Want to explain this or something?”
“Of course.” Nick sits down on the bed next to Adam. “See?”
“See what?” Adam says, frowning. He scrolls through the photos until he gets to the picture of them and the rest of the Elite at the most recent show. “All I see are shots of me looking weird in bed.”
Nick blinks. “Wait, what?”
“It’s just me,” Adam says. “Look how weird my stomach is here.” He zooms in on a space were the blanket rests against his skin. “You know?”
Nick shakes his head, and runs his fingers over that space on Adam’s skin. Adam twitches, like he’s trying to pull away from it. “I don’t,” he murmurs. “All I know is that you look like some sort of Greek god in these pictures.”
Adam tilts his head to the side. “Kinda just look like some dude in his thirties about to start snoring.”
“Look how good your hair looks here,” Nick says, pulling up the next picture. “It’s all golden curls and fanned out like some sort of romance novel. And like – okay, not to be horny or anything, but we just had sex and the way the blanket is all draped over you like that has me having very un-Christian thoughts.”
Finally, a tiny little smile starts to blossom in Adam’s eyes. “Really?” he asks.
“Do you not get that you’re really hot?” Nick asks. “How do you not – these photos would straight up destroy the internet.”
“Only because people would know you took them and would be all weird about us being together.”
Nick hits him with a pillow. “No. Well, okay, maybe that, too. But mostly because you look incredible here and I think, if people saw it, people would lose their effing minds.”
Adam presses his lips together and stares for a few moments. Nick doesn’t move. After long enough that Nick’s knee is getting sore from the weird position, Adam reaches out and takes the phone. Slowly, he goes through each shot, as if he’s studying his own body from a third person perspective.
He looks up at Nick. “You really think they’re good photos?”
“Adam.” Nick leans up to Adam’s side. “I know they’re great photos.”
Adam turns his head and catches Nick’s lips in a kiss, pulling him close. “We’re way too old to go again,” he murmurs against Nick’s mouth, “but if I could, I would.”
About your latest reblog(pretty sure this is it): left one this morning, right one a few hours later, both mention aew being against ai
Always Auntie RJ to the rescue! Love the confirmation that AEW is anti-AI but also not surprised at all, it is the company more geared to creativity over everything else.
I actually am inclined to believe the version on the right, cause people love to make every disagreement in AEW sound like a big fight (thanks Phil) so it probably was a heated discussion that wasn’t actually too bad.
Insane that you would own the footage a company wants to use but pollute it with license you dont own and AI slop. But these old men just don’t get it
