Knowing Garak was returning home Kasella quickly finished her conversation with her mother and ran to one window waiting anxiously for her daddy. Face pressed up against the glass her tail flickered back and forth before she pulled away and clapped her hands happily. Nearly bouncing she immediately ran for him hugging at his leg with a bright smile. “Daddyyyy, welcome home! I had a talk with momma, and she said to talk to you, and so I’s needs to talk to you. Mmhmm!” The young half breed cried out happily. She was smart, even with being young, and waited just long to make sure his attention had gotten pulled onto her. Meanwhile Rumple had appeared leaning against the doorway to their kitchen with an amused smile even as she wiped off her hands and nodded to Elim blowing him a little kiss.
“Daddy there’s three of us! And that’s a good number, momma said so. But only two of us have pointed ears, and only twoooo of us have tails! That’s not as good. I knows how we can solve it though.” Nodding quickly the young girl smiled innocently although there was the faintest little hint of that same smile her mother so often used when arranging a Deal. “A riding hound! Then there will be Threeeee of us with tails, and Three of us with pointed ears. And there will be four of us which means no one ever has to be alone. And the hound can be family, and have a nice home, and the numbers will be good because we would have three threes of three which is nine and… and good! Cause momma says nine is a good number too. So seeee we should get a riding hound. Pweeeease daddy, pwea… pleeeease can we get a riding hound? It makes sense.” Letting the sudden explosion of words trail off she looked up at her father with the most pleading puppy dog face Kasella could possible manage. Her second tongue all signaled sincerity, hope, pleading. Rumple in the mean time had simply face palmed and started silently laughing before looking back up to raise her eyebrows at Garak with a “welllll?” expression on her face.
He had only set a foot in his home and heard the shrill of a young child, his child to be precis. A smile curled at his lips. “Hello Dearest heart” he said tail flicking in happiness and amusement at how exited his daughter sounded. He had looked up to see His mate lean in the kitchen doorway and smiling at her. He leaned down to pick up the his little one and closed the door behind him with his foot.
“And what is it you need to talk to me so about so urgently?” He chuckled listening to her as she rambled on. He hummed understanding about the numbers being good and not so good, though he didn’t quite believe in such things he had made it a point not to argue about Rumples beliefs if she did not do so with him. He had even come to understand why they were important to her and had accepted it quite simply.
There were also other facts that he had to take into account, and his daughter was quite the smart thing. He was quite proud of the little thing. She wasn’t even in school yet and she had basic understanding in many things. He came to the conclusion that her mother had taken the time to explain all of these things while he was out working.
“And who would take care of the riding hound My little Kassela? They might start off Small, but it would be far to big to live indoor with us” he explained. “And we do not have the space outside our hose to own a riding hound.” he paused thinking for a moment. “You thought long and hard about this I know my sweet little girl.”
