evil is always unspectacular and always human. [ +goldenstrawx ]
Losing her wings had desolated Tinkerbell to a degree she had never expected. While serving under the Blue Fairy, Tink had never felt even a modicum of respect for her authority, for any established doctrines, and given that, it was surprising she hadn’t been castigated many years ago. Her penchant for disregarding those in power did not mean she was overtly anarchistic, though, and ostensibly, she could play the part of dutiful fairy. It was important to her to deceive everyone enough to maintain her status as a fairy, as such a designation gave her so much power, and in a strange way, freedom. She reported to the Blue Fairy, yes, but she could fly, she could visit so many different kingdoms and even other realms, something which would be far more difficult without this power.
She’d stolen pixie dust this time, however, to assist Regina Mills, and it had backfired, leading to her expulsion, and permanent loss of her wings. Never before had she felt such vehement desire for vengeance, but it boiled her blood now as she fled into the night, running far away from everyone and everything she’d previously known. In the dark, it was difficult to find refuge, but she’d managed for a few days on her own until the desperation was maddening.
The Dark One could assist; she’d never dealt with the Dark One personally before, but she knew of her, knew that asking her for assistance would come with a terrible price. She had nothing left to lose, though, and so she called out in the thin air for Rumplestiltskin:
“I’m prepared to make a deal with you, Dark One. Will you accept?”
