life update.

My mother has been ill quite some time, and I think I've mentioned before on here that I moved out to Florida in November to essentially be here part-time as her caretaker. I got a new job working from home about a month and a half ago, and within the last two weeks, my immediate supervisor has transitioned out of her role rather abruptly, and I was asked if I'd like to step up/be promoted to website production manager and take over her role. 

I AM SCARED AS FUCK ABOUT THIS (because I've never been a manager & also because I majored in History in college, so my graphic design & website knowledge is all self-taught) but I agreed, and I've just kind of been trying not to panic, and meditate, but also trying to dive in and learn as much as I can, which cuts into my free time. I really, really hope things do settle down soon, I'm just so sorry I haven't figured out how balance real life with RP right now.

Her words caused something of a flutter in Emma’s chest, and she couldn’t help but grin. If anyone saw them right now, she was sure she would look like an idiot — lips pulled tight into a smile so big that her cheeks would certainly begin to hurt in time. 

Though it hardly seemed to matter, the sore muscles of her face, nor the idea of someone seeing them like this. In truth, Emma was becoming more and more aware that she wanted to be a permanent fixture in Tink’s life for as long as the fairy would allow it.  She pressed her head against Tink’s further, once again pulling them more tightly together — as if she couldn’t quite get close enough. Sighing in response to the kiss against her neck, Emma hummed in reply before answering. ”I think I’d be perfectly content with that, if I’m being honest.” And she leaned down to place a kiss on the tip of Tink’s nose, smiling.

Tink was completely fascinated with exploring Emma, understanding everything that not only made her who she was, but what she loved the most; what she loved doing, where she wanted to be touched and caressed. Tink forever longed to see that adorable smile on her face, and it made her feel infinite, knowing she had been the cause of it. There was still so much to learn about Emma, and Tink took her time now, breathing words of love into her skin with the soft press of her lips. A kiss was planted against the side of Emma's neck, then she trailed her lips higher, pressing a kiss behind her ear. "I miss you most when I wake up in the morning and you aren't there. That's when I want this, us together."

    Where do I start? At first you were just a friend, a woman who came in and out of my life. With you came smiles and laughter and the most unique gifts a kid could ever receive. We have so many adventures without even leaving the living room. 

    At first I didn’t think much of it but as time went on I realized that you are the closest thing to a mother I’ve ever had. You’re nurturing, kind, compassionate, and you know when to put the rules into place when they’re needed. 

    Mother is a word you could give anyway, but it takes someone special to really be a mom. And for me, that’s you. 

     I love you mom.
