If ya can NOT buy gear/tools, BUILD IT! . To me the major advantage or main purpose of a #handdredge / #goldsucker / #goldpickerstick / #yabbypump or what ever name you call them is to get materials out of cracks, crevices, & tight places shovels just can't get to. So I'm making a small nozzle tip to for my 1 1/4 inch sucker. The inner diameter of this nozzle tip is about 7/16 of an inch. For this I took a piece of 1/2" sch40 pvc pipe, bore out the inner diameter slightly so I could fit a piece of 1/2" cts(?) pipe. Because it is what I had laying around so I rolled with it. After I clue these together I will stick the 1/2" pvc side into a 1 1/4"-1/2" reducer bushing. For this pump project im using mainly left over pieces from other projects in the past.
