Mazey day was back on yesterday: it's the solstice festival in Penzance with a procession; floats made by children from the school; live local bands (mostly folk, punk and feral -- think people dressed as beekeepers or playing the calculator while in their pants); a funfair on the pier; Morris dancers; street food; so much drinking; and this lad, called Penglaz, and his band who meander the streets for the serpent dance.
