When My game freezes I try to reset it with Overwatch mod or move sims to a new save. The freeezing I have been told could be casued by homeless sims overcrowding the game. If all fails. You can message me here or on my simblr. Good luck!
ugh right now it's no use, the stupid game keeps freezing, now at 4:30am, I'll try tomorrow and let you know ho things go :)

That's happened to me before too. :/ Move that save out of your folder and use the back up save and see how far that takes you. It may be saveable yet.
I'll do that now, that game kept freezing and freezing at 4:07am ¬¬ I'll try with the backup file

That happened to me. Even when I reloaded, my sim continued to be stuck in aging. And when the next birthday came around she got stuck again. I just saved her .sim file and went into CAS to force her up in age.
when I tried to edit him in cas, the game crashed on me :/
