Wrote this at 3 AM. I couldn’t sleep because I had heard and seen stuff outside my window… Yeah… Anyways, It might be bad… like everything else I do lol! but still here ya go. :D

Shiorin’s apartment was filled with doors slamming and yelling, to the point the cops showed up. “Sorry, officer. I promise it won’t happen again.” Yukko, Shiorin’s girlfriend, had to speak to the cops while Shiorin sat in the living room to calm herself. Once Yukko closed the door, she approached Shiorin. “Don’t come any closer.” Shiorin stated. Yukko stopped in her tracks. “Shiorin.” Yukko tried to hold back her annoyed tone. “I don’t want to argue anymore… I’m going to bed.” Shiorin said, standing from the couch and heading to the bedroom. Yukko followed behind, then the doorbell rang. “We weren’t even yelling!” Yukko exclaimed. While Shiorin went to her bedroom, Yukko went to open the door. “What are you doing here?” Yukko asked, trying to keep her voice low. “Did you talk to her?” Yukko sighed shaking her head at the question, “yes, and guess what, we are going to move in together and live happily ever after.” Yukko answered sarcastically. “Really?” “No! She is angry with me and we have spent the last two hours arguing to the point that the police came!” Yukko hissed. “Listen, Anna, you are not suppose to be here.” Yukko said after a deep breath. “Why isn’t she suppose to be here?” Yukko turned to find Shiorin with her arms crossed,”Shiorin…” “Answer me. Why isn’t she suppose to be here?” Shiorin repeated the question. “Shiori, I promise nothing happened.” Anna spoke up. “Nothing happened? So you two didn’t kiss?” Shiorin walked closer to Yukko and Anna. Yukko, dropped her head, knowing she was defeated. “Now, I know.” Shiorin said. “Shiorin, I’m sorry. I kissed Yukko, and she pushed me away.” Anna explained. Shiorin ignored her though and walked back to her bedroom. “Yukko, I’m sorry, this happened.” Anna cried. Yukko sighed, “it’s okay, Anna. I’ll fix this… Go home, please. Don’t worry about this anymore, please.” Yukko said, giving Anna a hug. Yukko didn’t care if Shiorin saw this, for her it didn’t matter anymore she was already in trouble. Anna left and Yukko was in the bedroom with Shiorin laying in bed, under the covers. Yukko stood, leaning against the wall, watching Shiorin lay there. Her thoughts went back to when she fell in love with Shiorin. It took three seconds to know the round face girl was going to be her’s. So she did what she could to get her attention, even if Shiorin’s attention was on someone else. In the end Yukko succeeded in getting Shiorin and now it might be the end of their relationship. All because of a one time kiss with her friend. Yukko knows that Anna was just having fun, until the kiss got a bit heavy, that was when Yukko pushed away. She knew Anna didn’t mean it to be like that, it was just a certain mood at the party, but both knew it was wrong. After that, Yukko felt the guilt, she wanted to tell her girlfriend but kept telling herself that it could end up worse. It did end up worse though, when Shiorin heard it from someone that Anna kissed Yukko. She arrived home angry and began to yell at Yukko. Yukko tried to calm her, but their emotions got to them and both were yelling at one another. Now Yukko just stood watching Shiorin fall asleep. When she did knock out, Yukko gave her a kiss on the forehead, “I love you.” Yukko grabbed a blanket from the closet and headed to the living to sleep on the couch.

Shiorin was the first to wake up and she swung her arm to hug the person she believed was there. When she felt the empty bed, she opened her eyes and remembered last nights events. She sighed. Sitting up in bed, she began to wonder if Yukko left in the middle of the night. Getting out of bed, she made her way out the bedroom and of course found Yukko on the couch. She sat down on the couch watching Yukko sleep. Shiorin reached to Yukko’s face and caressed her cheek very gently. Shiorin also began to remember a young Yukko, fighting to gain her attention, she knew that this girl was strong and wouldn’t give up until she got a straight answer from her. “Yukko…” She muttered at that moment Yukko woke up. “Shiorin.” Yukko’s voice was groggy. “Did you kiss Anna back?” Shiorin asked. Yukko sat up, “no, I pushed her away.” Yukko answered honestly. Shiorin believed her, but she was still scared. “do you love me?” She asked. Yukko took her hand and holding it tightly she answered, “I love you, Shiorin. I love you so much.” Shiori was beginning to cry while Yukko held it in, but tears were beginning to form. “Yukko, I love you too… I don’t want us to break up.” Shiori cried. Yukko pulled her in for a hug, “we will sort it out, I’m not leaving you… I can’t leave you… I love you.” Shiorin hugged Yukko tightly, “I love you…”

Writing Meme – Day 16 (GomaYukko)

NOTE: If I could title this story, it would be “Another Night in the Cold.” It feels bittersweet how this came out.

Her eyes looked into the light. Day was still present but the sky was becoming an orange and nostalgic color. The streets were just getting started with their audiences of watching people. It was bittersweet how it felt. Though dim, she could see the light no matter how far, how large and inviting. She could feel the sensation that it gave was warm, but it felt cold.

‘That’s right… Cold…’ Kinoshita Yukiko thought. Her head was leaned onto the brick wall, and she brought her coat close to her skin as she sat in a fetal position. She could almost see her breath when its warmth hit against the crisp air. Her lips were chapped with the dry cold when she licked them. Her hands rubbed her forearms trying its best to gather the warmth into it.

It was the season in between fall and winter, when cool began to be cold, and oh how Yukiko hated that season.

Month after month, she watched as men and women saw her and the people around her wander in streets, starving or secretly dying. And when someone did die, no one would really know enough or try to give a hand. There was no one to call when she would see the light of the eyes of someone she obtusely knew steadily go away. She felt her insides boiling, but she had no one to blame.

A flame of anger was lit up in her soul when people acted like everyone was here because they wanted to be, and especially when people like her weren’t treated like the people they were raised to be. It was almost unrealistic how some were called on their act of kindness but they didn’t give a second glance at those with ragged clothes, sleeping on park benches of street alleys at night. It was almost unrealistic how people were shunned in society.

There was a storm in her head and a stake in her heart when she remembered it clearly how hard stories of other homeless hit close to home, and how hard reality hit her when it did. She dug her head into her knees and hid from the dim light of the sky with her arms and coughed wildly.

“Yukko?” Her partner on her side got up. Ogiso Shiori’s hair was a mess, but Yukiko knew it would be an obvious reason why with their street-side situation. Yukiko gave her a light smile, “Are you okay?”

“When is it ever okay?” She whispered; her smile wavered for a bit. “It hasn’t been okay in a long while.”

Shiori didn’t murmur anything back to her, but as if on cue, their heads leaned into each other.

“My stomach hurts.”

“I know. Mine does too,” Yukiko said, leaning Shiori over to her while her arm rested on her shoulder, “But if I could be everyone’s Robin Hood in a world like this, I would. Maybe the world would finally let there be heroes.”

Then it was silence between the both of them except for the sea of people in the streets and the sniffle of a runny nose. Yukiko hugged the girl tightly and stroked her hair lightly. She shushed quietly, an effort of soothing. She kissed Shiori’s forehead softly, mentally apologizing to Shiori about how this could have happened to them.

And oh how Yukiko hated alleys. They were dark, they were secluded, and they were dirty. She felt a drop of water fall onto her head, giving her another reason to hate alleys, but for once, Yukiko was glad to be in an alley, a place somewhere secluded from other people as her tears disappeared into the cloth of Shiori’s worn out jacket.
