Ngl this did hit me extremely hard today

You can take the archaeologist out of the desert but as soon as you put them back in the desert they're running around like 'look at this pottery!'

Also I've been trying and failing to read Malory for nearly a decade so I figured hauling it to the desert where I had nothing else to read would force me to read it... and it did actually work, I actually got into it this time lol

Anyway, great experience! Onto the rest of this trip!

Too impatient to wait for my negatives to get back to me so I am poking at these low quality scans to a) learn how to compensate for the inherent vice of converting from film to digital and b) try and figure out how exactly I want these photos to look since I've been thinking so much about Color(tm) recently and I think it's very obvious that I read way too many outdated guidebooks (like 70s/80s) at an impressionable age (bc I could find then very cheap or free and I was desperate to travel) bc that's apparently what I'm drawn to visually lol
