I saw what you said on your reblog (I read everything lol), and I relate to it because my baby was diagnosed with diabetes as well! She was declining fast so we had to do what was best for her. I just wanted to put this out there because you're definitely NOT alone with your kitty as well. Our kitties aren't suffering anymore and that's the best we can do for them <3

I feel for you, like you probably saw the same problems I saw too. Like my cat was not regulating sugars in his body properly, so you would have seen and felt his muscles get smaller over time.

Me and dad had upped the insulin shot two weeks ago but over the weekend my cat had a mini-stroke due to the lack of nutrition. At that point he was getting worse. My dad heard from the vet that there was a chance he could have recovered from the diabetes with the current dose but his walking could have been impaired for the rest of his life. At that point the decision was made to put Tigga to sleep.

I’m still reeling from it and it’s been two days.
