It’s strange the things I thought I’d miss most aren’t the things I miss. The things I thought Id remember aren’t the things I think of. The things that made me smile aren’t quite the things that make me smile today. Funny, it’s the little annoying things, the things I couldn’t stand… thats what I remember, thats what makes me smile, and thats what I miss most.

Tuesday's poetic thoughts from the poet's room 12th March 2024. A poem for a lady whose spirit was broken as was she informed me her grasp of the English language. I went to a nearby coffee shop returned with a coffee and sandwich which she thanked me. She had moved on next time I visited that street. This is her poem.
