What a lot of people don’t know is that hedgehogs should not eat hedgehog food—it is full of fillers and garbage and is basically like feeding them the worst fast food every day for the rest of their lives. Instead, hedgehogs should eat a high-quality cat food diet, and a variety of live insects. It’s always tough finding a good food, especially if you’re on a budget. However, back in July, @noodpetfood started selling their premium pet food in Walmart stores across Canada. I was skeptical, of course, because in most cases, Walmart pet foods are not good quality. Upon further investigation after the MANY ads I saw on Facebook and Instagram, I was shocked to find that this is actually a good food. For hedgehogs, there are a few things you want to look for to maintain a happy and healthy hedgehogs. • real ingredients ✅ • protein between 30-35% ✅ • fat content between 10-16% ✅ • no artificial colours ✅ • tasty ✅ It was when I looked into it that id try it. $20 for an 8lb bag isn’t bad. I gave it to both the kitties, and found they BOTH loved it (and Maple is a picky brat). I also introduced it to the hedgies and all loved it as well. Of course, at the time, I couldn’t feed Duke anything so he was stuck on his prescription food. However, since we got Maggie, she is on NOOD as well and she took to it right away. I just watched her eat nearly an entire bowl right in front of me. I’m always concerned about how well animals take to foods but it has an 86.5% digestibility in dogs, which is great. It’s tasty, natural, within the range I search for, and it’s healthy. Now, I won’t continue to be a pain in the butt. I’ll just let you know that it’s great! #anziege #foxhedgie #gonood https://www.instagram.com/p/B6q5ZvSFkDN/?igshid=yaz332ou7fd9
