Hmm?????? They're rivals ÒvÓ Whether perceived as platonic or romantic! But like, friend rivals? Kind of like newer Pokémon games fhfhfhf

In the ship terms their dynamic is a mutual pining/angst thing 😌 But I don't really like to "trope-ify" them so it's hard to explain with only one word. Because I think their relationship is unique, and you'd have to shave off details to make them fit in boxes. Like, it's not really grumpy one/soft one because Taichi's not just a softie, and it's not sun/moon because Tenma's not a rolling ball of joy and sunshine, and it's not just rivalxrival because they don't fight like average rivals. You'd have to cut corners to make them fit any, if that makes sense?

But I can try to give a digestable description if you like !! :3 I just can't do it with one label 😭
