This is about to be a very australian based headcanon but Poppy watched Good Game growing up, like a lot of it. She watched Spawn Point to but she never admitted. Hex was her favourite. She lost her shit when she found out the show was ending before Mythic Quest would come out, as it was one of her goals to have a game she work on in such a major way be reviewed by the show.
So I was watching one of slazo’s videos AND HE FUCKING ASKED A QUESTION ON GOOD GAME SPAWN POINT AND IT WAS ANSWERED RIGHT AND I FUCKING REMEMBER WATCHING THAT EPISODE OF GOOD GAME SPAWN POINT WITH THE QUESTION!!
I was so excited and really confused because that was him??? It was a weird question.
Man I loved Good Game Spawn Point.
!! I never posted pics of my signed DS!
Okay, this is getting really creepy.
There's this show called Good Game. It's pretty cool.
There's a spinoff. It's also cool.
They're available in podcast form from the official site. Even better.
I have Winamp set to auto-download podcasts. It's very convenient.
The spinoff, GGSP, debuts on Saturday morning, local time.
It's currently Thursday night.
The episode from this coming Saturday has already been downloaded.
More than a day early.
...
it's escalating
Last week I posted about how ridiculous it was that my podcast program picked up that week's episode of Good Game Spawn Point at 3:30 am, when it wasn't going to air until 9 am.
This is worse.
This week, I could have watched GGSP yesterday. The time on the file is about 8:30 pm. Yesterday.
If I'd checked it 6 hours ago (currently 3 am here as of writing this), I would have been able to watch this week's episode 12 hours before it is shown on TV.
That's twelve whole hours to go through and find out more about every single game they review (and add to my Steam wishlist) so that when I watch it on TV (Yes, I do that. Better quality.), I can honestly say that a game is already on my wishlist (not uncommon this year, actually), when I hadn't even heard of it before the episode.
As a comparison, that's like being able to see the Doctor Who Christmas Special as soon as you wake up on the 25th, when it's not on TV until the evening. (At least, I think that's when it's shown in the UK.) Or, for anyone in Australia or New Zealand, being able to watch said Christmas Special on Christmas Day, not Boxing Day when it usually arrives. (Bleeping timezones.)
And to think, a month ago I thought having the new GGSP episode by 7 am was utterly ridiculous.
i just opened winamp and one of my podcasts had updated
one of the ones from this really cool (relatively) local show. (there's at least two spinoffs, each with their own feed.)
(and by local i mean made in australia and not well known outside the country.)
it was the one with episodes shown on tv 9am saturday
the time is not 9am. the time is 3:30am.
it's this week's episode.
omg this is tooooooo purfect. <333
