A Day in The Life of June || Self Para
34. That's how much she had to raise her soul purity for it to actually be recognized as something good. Sure June probably had the highest percentage than any other demon in this town, but that didn't mean anything. Hers was still just below average, and she felt like as if she kept messing up in her attempts to raise it, then it would go down even lower. If that happened then she might as well just sell her soul to the highest bidder. If that happened then she knew quite a few demons who would be more than happy to take it from her and add them to their collection. Although she would never understand the appeal of owning something that clearly belonged to someone else. She didn’t even know the people whose souls she currently owned. However, she considered herself lucky in that department because she knew that she’d never have it in her to take someone else’s soul from them. It was just wrong in her eyes.
Looking in her closet she couldn't help but smile a little when she saw that absolutely none of her clothes were dark. All of them were either bright or light colors. She hoped that if she looked the part of someone, well good, maybe her inside would soon reflect that. She wondered if she should wear one of her dresses. Even though it was starting to get cold outside, she could always wear some sort of tights with boots and a sweater over it. Once she decided to go with that outfit, it was only really her makeup that she had to worry about. Most days she just wore her hair down so she would go with that. She owned just about every sparkly eye shadow that’s ever been made. Although she just chose the one that matched her outfit best.
Today was the day that she was going to do something good for someone else and raise her purity, she was sure of it. As she walked out of the apartment she saw something that would be perfect for her to help out with. There was a woman on the side on the road who was currently attempting to fix her tire. She didn’t know who it as, which probably made it even better. If she helped a complete stranger, just to be nice, then her soul purity was sure to go up. Even though June had no idea how to put on a tire, or even take it off, that wouldn’t stop her from helping. Afterall, after living 125 years she should really learn at least those basic things.
Her plans did not go according to plan when she soon found her and the stranger without any usable tires, after she’d punctured a hole in the spare. She attempted to continue helping in some way, but they woman told her that unless she could call a mechanic, than she should just leave. Which is exactly what June did since she couldn’t think of any mechanics off the top of her head. Instead she just made her way to school, which she was already over an hour late too and had missed her first class. Even though she was smart, if she didn’t show up to any of her classes she doubted that even she would be able to pass her final. She might’ve had all the time in the world to do things, not even she wanted to spend her entire life in school.
