i was on a boat just a week ago. i dont like vacations with my family but this one was okay. most of the time is just spent mindlessly out on the water which gave me a lot of time to listen to emo bands i had downloaded. what i listened to the most by far was the ep yeah, no, i know by macseal. next to you reminded me of last years heartbreak and the whole ep just felt right for me. on top of them ive gotten into good sleepy, arms length, and the front bottoms (idk how i hadnt heard of em either) still trying to explore new stiff in hopes of creating my own sound for the music i make
running away and hiding was nineteen and fevered with desire, then twenty-one like time had froze. now im no better than I used to be, i wear that same old sweater, it still fits so comfortably and I’m not good to talk to, I’m too withdrawn to, i thought i saw you calling me back to you i wait in place, with a blank face, out of focus and let the moment go unnoticed. the face you make saw you beaming at your lowest are you feeling what’s below us? the pace you take been replaced by a broken motion, feel so confined, but nobody could know take me to somewhere else, replacing everything i left beside her, i know too well that i’m not good to talk to i’m to withdrawn to i thought i saw you calling me back to you, but there’s nothing i can do trapped here and a half a year disappeared i don’t wanna be here, but i don’t wanna leave running away, another halfway built defense. last year i thought i made it clear, i don’t wanna be here, but i don’t wanna see another way that i could misplace what’s coming near i’m not good to talk to i’m to withdrawn to i thought i saw you calling me back too, you were talking through the blue calling me back to you, there’s nothing i can do.
A Doggone Split - Knope / closure. / Good Sleepy (2019)
Our forty-fifth band announced for the Montréal lineup is GOOD SLEEPY!
Massachusetts emo outfit “Good Sleepy” consists of Thomas Sullivan (Bass, Vocals), Seth Girard (Guitar, Vocals), Ryan Duggan (Guitar), and Jack Wensky (Drums). Sharing sonic interests and youthful anxieties, the band pushes a dramatic and heavy hitting sound accompanied by sparkly, dream-like riffs to accomplish their ambiance. Their highly anticipated sophomore album, titled “CONSTANT HUMMING” is set to release early 2026.
