our cats historically do not like each other at all, but i guess something changed while we were on vacation and now they are like sort of friendly to each other?? two of them will curl up next to each other to sleep without hissing and physically fighting each other???? it's so cute????????

i started reading a new book and i'm enjoying it more than i expected to

i spent most of the night trying to figure out what i'm going to cook for dinner this week and i chose two new recipes that i am excited to eat! (sheet pan gnocchi and sweet corn pizza)

I am officially on vacation!!!! We leave for the airport in like four hours!!!!!!!!! I don’t have to work for like ten days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s Friday it’s the weekend I don’t have to work tomorrow!!!!!!

I wore new jeans to work today and a twenty-something year old coworker said she liked them!!!

We ordered pizza and watched tv and had a nice chill night

today was a chaotic day at work, but i felt like i got a lot done in a meaningful way, like i think it mattered that i was the person doing the job because i did it correctly no matter what they threw at me, which was a lot.

my partner went to some kind of parents night thing at their kid's school today, and they told me all the kids had created some kind of artwork about their families, and she listed me as one of her family members. still processing my emotions about this one.

I saw my best friend after work and we picked up a pizza and watched more queer ultimatum and it was so so so good to see her, I miss her so much and it was so fun

we went to one of our favorite coffee shops and i had a great iced ube latte and then we went to a new record shop that opened up nearby and it was a lovely morning

then we went back to my old hometown to have lunch with my parents and it was really lovely, i had some delicious sangria and a bunch of seasonal foods with corn and tomatoes and peaches mmmmm. i really like that my partner and my parents get along so well, it makes my relationship with my parents so much better to go into it having someone who supports me.

then we spur of the moment decided to go to the gardens and spent six hours looking at cool plants and fountains and treehouses and we got to see all these awesome day-blossoming water lilies and we stayed long enough that we got to see the night-blossoming ones too and it was a really really nice day

i had really really really good coffee this morning

i've suggested to my partner's kid multiple times that maybe we should all watch the babysitter's club show together, partly because i thought she would like it but also a lot because i wanted to see it lol and we finally started watching it tonight and we all loved it!
