Coming to the end of 2020, spending the last day of the year alone with my thoughts, I can't help but reflect on the past year. At first I was angry with how the year went, how much it took, how the whole world has been impacted terribly with the crisis we have been just trying to get to the other side of. How it brought out some of the worst in people and humanity as a whole, how terrible and dark it's been, and how much it has SUCKED!!! A new thought hit me though, I did not want to go into 2021 with such a shitty attitude, I didn't want to be the worst I've seen this year. So I started to scroll through messages, pictures, and comments on all the virtual platforms we have found ourselves standing on all year, and I thought I would end 2020 with a list of some of the good things I have had in a craptactular 10 months. This list is for me. And come next year, I hope I reread this list and still carry a feeling of gratitude for everything this year has given me, even though it feels like it took everything.⠀ ⠀ I don’t think that there will be some magical snap at 12:01 am that will make everything go away. There is no fast road to the end of all of this, we are still meandering on the scenic route. But I will definitely be starting 2021 with a very different perspective on what a new year can bring. I will look forward to the day when the world has settled down and life is a bit more ‘normal’, but I will live in the day to day and choose to see the ‘normal’ I still have in my day. But 2020, as for you, don’t let the door hit you on the way out! You jackass!⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ *⠀ #goodby2020 #hello2021 #onlygoodchanges #yearinthelife #reminderofthegoodtimes #beyourownhappy #findthejoy #gratitudealways #stillhadfun #byefelcia #happynewyear2021 https://www.instagram.com/p/CJfQtrAhMbI/?igshid=1n0ikb6ekblf0
