I felt the same way about William until the end of the season until I realized what the pint of the season was and what Julie Andem was saying with it . It's easy to like characters like soak and even and sans because they are written to be likeable but it's harder to see the complexities of other people like William and the whole season deconstructs that. Sana's speech to Noora in the hall opened my eyes to that theme. The theme of forgiveness and understanding.

okay yes that is true but one thing if forgiveness and another is pretending it didn’t happen and calling their relationship ‘healthy’
