Old creek art... south park my eternal love. i've been shipping everyone since i was 12, including these shits years before they even became canon. you don't even comprehend the immense world-building power i have in my head for these little bastards after over a decade of mulling over them. i'll have to start resharing my old SP art sometime because I have art going back to my early high school days when I was finally confident enough in drawings humans to contribute to the whirlwind of edge that was south park fandom.

i'm so miserable about my existence that the existential crisis i'm having would make these tadc mfers not even last a day without abstracting, their canon world building actually has it easier because at least they can find each other.

anyways,

here's some lore from my intended version for this series: because pomni and ragatha actually do not know how to talk to each other about anything (which the series handles pretty well considering it can't even make them look like they want to be around each other LMAO),

I picture Ragatha to be obsessed with the idea of finding a loophole in her and Pomni's inability to express affection at each other by fantasizing about them "comforting each other in a traumatic situation" to feel less wrecked about her feelings not being truly reciprocated.

I like the idea that the digital circus literally disallows affection and love and touch for petty reasons due to it getting too quickly "inappropriate" as a hard stance on how little our own media wants to explore relationships meaningfully beyond a hug or vague crush, that'd also help explain why the characters are so forcefully distant in my opinion and has more story meaning and could have added so much to their character arcs... missed opportunity.

Also in my own vision, there's a backdrop of overworld lore in this doodle where the characters are actually forbidden from crying or... screaming, hence Ragatha's pondering. Forbidden the same way they can't swear or be above a PG rating... or be tender in my version. I was actually surprised that them being unable to scream wasn't a concept in this series considering it was literally derived from I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.. My TADC version: I Have A Mouth, and I Can't Scream. It would have added an extra layer of horror to why the characters are deeply unemoting their torture. I keep thinking about how much more visceral the ending to episode 1 would have felt if you saw Pomni visibly trying to scream and unable to even start and the inner panic and horror building in her while the cheery music plays and the other characters eat and argue. Wow... wish that version existed.

Anyways, it's a good thing Ragatha is there to comfort Pomni after her and Jax stop talking... right... right?? HolyshitwhyPomnihasn'tevencaredaboutherandIamsoenragedthatPomniRagathaANDJaxweredonesodirty.Theyalldeservedbetter.

anyways, more art from 2022. i actually haven't drawn them recently but Futurama was literally such a deep safety show to me, I would rewatch it every few years, especially during torturous periods of my life like when I was bed-bound for months with uncertainty of recovery due to severe illness and I would even play it on repeat whenever I couldn't sleep at night due to cosmic horror existential nightmare situations because just hearing the characters talk made me feel safe. It's very meaningful to me.
