Tbh I don't agree on how morty's lack of empathy now means he is becoming evil Morty (or that this whole thing is evil Morty's story) because I do think evil Morty has empathy, he just realized that not everyone deserves it (which funnily enough, I think our Morty already learned this. Just not toward Rick of all people)

And not to mention that Morty in this episode, even when the empathy part of his brain is missing, he still tried to save people (Rick, his dad(kinda) ) cuz lack of empathy does not equal lack of morality.

(If anything he just seems more tired and grumpy)

#I feel like the whole point of the episode is that Morty need to stop feeling bad for Rick and wanting to be on equal level with him #and that Rick need to stop taking advantage of Morty's empathy even though he think what he's doing is big red flag for Morty #rick and morty #morty smith #rick sanchez #of course there metaphor for how toxic positivity can be harmful to yourself and you just view everything with rose tinted glasses
