Hiiii sorry this took forever! I needed a little break from Tumblr (kinda still do). But anyway, here is the link. I don’t want to make any concrete promises, but I do hope to get back around to this...
falls asleep on the couch: Lana. Always Lana. And then Ginny is like “Hey you’re not cuddling me properly!” Or Ginnifer gets home to find Lana asleep on the couch and tucks her in and then Lana wakes up hours later, pissed that she’s not in bed with Ginny.
makes friends with the neighbors: Lana. It’s the introvert/extrovert difference.
is the adventurous eater: Hmm depends on how you define it. Ginny is always trying some new health trend. But Lana would probably be the one to get into the crazy food combinations.
hogs the covers at night: Lana hogs the covers, and Ginny, in turn, hogs Lana by trying to lay all over her all night.
forgets to do the dishes: This one’s Lana.
tries to surprise their partner more often: Lana, but Ginny goes all out when she does.
leaves dirty laundry on the floor: This one’s Ginny.
stays up til 2 AM reading: Could be either. And they both call the other crazy when it happens, even though they both do it sometimes.
sings in the shower: One starts singing and the other joins in because they shower together haaa. :’D
takes the selfies: Both. Together. Cute, kissing selfies.
plans date night: Usually Lana plans time for it and Ginny decides what they should do.
Omg okay I love you for this. But also I'm guilty because I probably don't have a good answer for you.
tl;dr: It's not over! I have every intention of continuing it, I'm just not sure...when.
But yeah, I just moved to New York last week, so along with life-related things, I'm really focused on my Outlaw Queen fic right now. It's what I have a lot of muse for right now. AFOFS was going really quickly and then I kinda got stuck but I do have bits and pieces of chapter 5 written so it's not a complete dead end.
Hopefully I'll at least have some more Goodilla drabbles soon! Thank you for the interest!
sunny requested: goodilla | #50. going through a divorce au {x}
└ sunny is mean. angst angst angst.
Opposite sides of a much too long table sat two raven-haired women. Next to the shorter-haired sat a male, and across from him, a third female.
Ginnifer had hired a man as her lawyer for their divorce proceedings, which was just another thing that annoyed Lana about her wife.
They had been in the conference room for a very long five minutes, but any time either lawyer attempted to begin, Ginny would make a perturbed sound or gesture that they were both too afraid to combat.
A great sigh of distress came from the fourth individual and she announced, “Could we please be excused for a moment?”
The male lawyer started to protest that he wasn’t sure it was the best idea for his client, but Ginnifer dismissed him with a stern, “Leave,” and just like that the table seemed to grow even longer.
“What--are you--doing?” Lana spoke in a rather low voice.
Ginny gave a shrug, as if nothing was out of the ordinary, and confirmed that notion with a simple, “Nothing.”
“Why aren’t you cooperating?”
“I’m here, aren’t I?” What more could Lana ask for? A cake to celebrate the occasion? The whole thing was terrible, and now she was being given a hard time for her emotions regarding the event.
Sighing deeply, Lana closed her eyes, pressing her hand down against the table. She tried to keep her cool, because they’d done enough snapping at one another in the past year. “You have to let the proceedings...proceed, and sign the papers, Ginnifer.”
Ginny slipped and cracked a smile at Lana’s silly wording, but she made sure to wipe it away before she opened her eyes. “I’m not the one who wants this, Lana. You can’t expect me to sign my life away, just like that.”
“It’s my life, too!” Lana snapped back, perhaps harder than ever. “Do you think I want to end my marriage? My god, I mean, you were my dream girl. I never thought it would be real. But now--now it feels more like a nightmare.”
Lana wished it was a nightmare. Then at least it wouldn’t be real.
“All couples fight,” Ginnifer said slowly. “And maybe it got worse for us, but we could go to therapy. We could work through it!”
Why were they having this conversation so late? Why hadn’t they started fixing things before they had broken completely?
“This isn’t just about us not getting along.” She wouldn’t have given up so easily. But now, she was completely and utterly defeated. “This is because you’re not in love with me.”
“That’s not true!” Ginny declared, all doe-eyed and bewildered. And those things that Lana had once adored about Ginnifer were now standing between them.
“It’s been that way for a while now.” Lana sighed and there’s nothing left of the vivacious woman in the individual standing there, and all Ginnifer wanted to do was somehow bring her back. “Maybe you felt differently when we got together. Or maybe you just expected something different, and it’s always been this way. But I was just too--”
Ginnifer cut off whatever ‘blinded-by-love’ excuse she was about to make (because she’d be damned if Lana tried to say they were never real) with a firm, “No--”
But Lana was just as adamant about her side, and spat back, “Yes--”
They were arguing like children, instead of adults who were about to lose everything. But then Ginny found that empowered woman inside of her and practically lunged across the table, grabbing Lana’s face and devouring her lips in a kiss both sloppy and passionate.
Sloppy because Ginny could not catch her balance; sloppy because Lana’s world was crumbling at her own hand, yet she was powerless to stop it.
Passionate because Ginnifer loved her, no matter what Lana wanted to say about her emotional availability or her sexuality. Passionate because Lana knew it would be the last time.
Lana ripped away, causing Ginny to fall back into her chair. But instead of sitting, Lana grabbed her bags and buckled her coat in a hurry.
“This doesn’t change anything, Ginnifer,” she said, in a voice so unlike her own. “I expect you here next week, ready to sign the papers without so much as a last glance at me.”
No, it was nothing like Lana--which made it all the more impossible for Ginnifer to discern if she was still in love or not.
She decided she would rather not know. And Lana decided she would rather not be herself at the moment, anyway.
who the fuck put the peeps in the microwave: Lana does. Ginny keeps saying it's a horrible but then ends up being the one with peeps stuck in her hair.
who forgot to put the cat outside before sex: Lana, and then Ginny gets upset that it was in there the whole time.
who posts vines of the other doing embarrassing shit: Ginny always posts Lana's white girl dancing, but Lana loves it. Once in a while, Lana posts one of Ginny doing something silly but cute and Ginny gets SO embarrassed.
who breaks the most phones: About even, but in different ways. Lana does something like accidentally put it in the washing machine or drop it in the toilet. Ginny does something to kill the battery. But they're usually pretty good about it.
who dies first: I ain't cursing real people. Back off. I don't like this one anyway. :(
which one I could see as being lactose intolerant: Ginnifer tries ever diet under the sun and Lana is just like, um no, you're licking whip cream off me tonight.
who thinks they can do something really well even though they can’t: Lana, for sure. She mostly does it for enjoyment, whereas Ginny is more afraid of not doing well, so Lana encourages her to step out a bit more.
who is more likely to get kicked out of the bed: Lana. :( Lana could probably never kick Ginny out. But sometimes Ginny freaks out and Lana doesn't want to upset her more, but it crushes her to leave.
who uses the computer most: Ginnifer. Lana usually uses her phone more.
Wow, sorry for such a long wait! There were a few things getting in the way of my progress, but it was mainly the fact that I wanted to make sure I got this chapter just right. So with that, I hope you enjoy!
And now, I'll be working on writing prompts, along with chapter 5... :)
