He'll be honest, he wasn't expecting someone else on the case. If he doesn't work with Sam, he works alone. He definitely was not expecting the blonde teenager that's standing in front of him. "What the hell are you doing in the middle of a graveyard blondie?"
Buffy had heard about the nest of vamps through the demon grapevine, wreaking havoc on the small town in Kansas. She had to admit, she wasn’t so fond of the whole midwestern thing, she missed California, but duty called. “Come here fangy, fangy, fangies. Come out wherever you are,” she spoke into the darkness.
A sound not so far away caught her attention, and Buffy whirled around stake in hand. When she recognized the normal features of the guy standing in front of her, she quickly hid the weapon behind her back. “I could ask you the same thing. We could banter back and forth a bit, or throw out a few mysterious, cryptic lines. Establish that neither you nor I will admit to why we’re trapeizing through a graveyard in the middle of the night, and then be on our merry way.” That’s pretty much how it usually went anyway. Who liked to admit the truth?
"Honestly, I think I’d rather skip the banter and move on to the leaving part. We should probably just go home, I hear the cemeteries aren’t safe at night. See ya!" The Slayer turned to leave, hoping he’d find his way back to his car or however he got here. She had a job to do.
