I tend to think of Melantha and Betha as cousins but I’d be delighted if they turned out to be sisters. I mean, that Aerys and Rickard might share a great grandfather is a fascinating thought. Or that Ned/Lyanna/Brandon and Rhaegar might be cousins. Or that Ned and Robert might be cousins. That would be interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised if Qyburn thought it would be funny to name the champion of a woman accused of having obviously-not-legitimate children and passing them off as legitimate in part after Rhaenyra's lover.

And of course as an ex-maester, Qyburn is fully educated in Westeros history. “Robert” for Robert Baratheon, “Strong” for Harwin Strong... and Qyburn gives the name to Kevan with a smile and a grandfatherly twinkle in his eye...

It’s also really really fucking stupid. (And one of several reasons I rolled my eyes at that supposed “best fic ever”, its tendency to shove in non-textual anti-thematic crack theories for shock, sigh...)

My “wombs theory” re Gregor’s revivification. (now, my theories can sometimes be shocking, but they are always heavily textually based. also fyi, trigger warning for rape and body horror and other disturbing content.) And yes, oh yes indeed.

Yeah, I would have a hard time believing Rhaelle was never interested in a Steffon/Rhaella match (always assuming she was alive at that point). Stormlands tourney is cool! I also wonder if they hold tourneys at Summerhall? I can’t remember.

Hello. Goodqueenaly directed me to you for a question. I was curious. What is the possible relationship between Addam Marbrand and Darlessa, Tygett's widow? I was thinking they would have to be cousins at the very least or aunt and nephew.

Hi! If you take a peak at this speculative Marbrand family tree I made a while ago, I assume that Darlessa is Damon’s younger sister, based on the timelines and ages of the people involved. Like Tywin, I think Tygett married his cousin. 

So I think Darlessa and Addam are aunt and nephew, although I don’t think there’s a huge age difference between them.
