This is the anon from before asking about recording songs. I meant how do you do all the harmonies and stuff? I presume it's all in your own voice - what program do you use so you can sing over the top of a recording?

Well, I have one of those old mac sunflower things (the one I'm using is very broken and has no memory or anything but it has a good built in microphone) and it has garage band on it. That is the program I use.

On the garage band you can add as many recordings on top of each other as you want. So I usually play guitar and sing at the same time and record it in one go, then if you want to record more over the top you just add another line of audio.

This is what it looks like. I click the little + button down the bottom left and it can create another line for you to record on (add real instrument or something). It's pretty cool beans.
