I get emotional thinking about this community #BayAreaGoogleUdacity Scholars have built together! So immensely proud of us rallying and growing together in #webdev. So many of us are moving onto the full #nanodegree together--the fam is sticking together!!! 😀🙌💖🎉👏👏👏 Life happens, and not everyone in our group was able to finish before the deadline to be considered for moving fwd, but our community is a strong one that's there for each other regardless! 🌈 I'm most grateful that @udacity + @google have created #GrowWithGoogle to bring such amazing people into my life. Beyond this program, #GoogleUdacityScholars is forever part of my life, and I'm so grateful! 🦄 It's fun having a #codingfamily! . . . Looking at the syllabus, it's exciting thinking about the interactive, dynamic front end projects we'll get to build together for the next 6 months! . . . So the last 3 months got us from HTML --> jQuery. The next 6 months will be building on the previous experience and adding on ES6, APIs, and React! So at the end of this, it will be 9 months, meaning we'll have a baby we birthed together--in the form of front end web dev! 🙌🙌😜✌️ . . . Since we did 3 months and we have 6 to go... 🎵🎶 WOAHHHHH WE'RE 1/3 THERE. WOAAAAH CODING FROM THIN AIR!! 🎵🎶😜😂🤣👩💻💖 . . . P.S. Shout-out to @ch0ubella + @linkedin for hosting our Graduation Celebration at #LinkedinSF! . Fellow Scholar Ian made a vid of our group talking about our experiences at the Graduation event, and I can't stop cracking up watching it (bottom-right image). 😂💖🌈 (at San Francisco, California)
I am still in awe and I didn't know how I got selected (again) to the second phase of this scholarship. This past three months was so intense. My life was a mess. Alot going on. Ups and downs like a rollercoaster. And trying to fit the classes and finish the projects in between was like trying to add an extra hour in my day (That was hyperbolic). I didn't think I did good enough to get selected again. I almost quit at some point and ended up finished all the classes and projects very close to the deadline. I was not active at all in forum. I didn't attend the regional students gathering. I didn't even join FREE pizza party delivered to home (who does that?). That being said, I really hope that other students who have worked their asses really hard for this and have been very confident and wanting to get selected for the second phase and very well deserved, got selected as well. Regardless, I am really grateful that I am selected again to the second phase. I hope I can do alot better than before. #GoogleUdacityScholars #GrowWithGoogle.
