Emma Black a.k.a. googoogilly is a freelance artist and illustrator from the UK. She graduated in 2012 from the University of Westminster with a First Class honors degree in illustration, and in 2016 from the Cambridge School of Art with MA in Fine Art.
The unknown has always interested me, whether it is something in the physical world or a limitation of the human mind. Using mainly traditional media and autobiographical themes, my practice explores notions of The Uncanny, human subconscious and our relationship to the world around us. I take a lot of inspiration from the natural world, I am particularly interested with our different views towards animals and the changes the world is currently going through.
