How to properly spend a Sunday off from work

Greetings friends. It has now been 2 weeks since the notorious coronavirus has taken hold of society. All across the nation, people are either quarantined or practicing social distancing. I myself have been feeling the burden of said social distancing, as have many of you. The only problem I thought I was going to face today was how to spend this day off from work. I only say this because I usually work Sundays and having them off is very rare for me. So as a result, I try to make the most of it. My mom surprised me by taking me on a day out around the neighborhood. Seeing as though many of our close friends and neighbors have been self-quarantined, I figured we send them a gift to brighten up their spirits. Mom usually orders candy apples every year, so we drove around delivering them to our close friends/family.

My favorite part of today was being able to see my best friend/soul brother at his new house. Yes, he had recently bought a house; it was definitely a huge step for him...or atleast to me anyway. Mom was initially hesitant to go inside due to this whole Coronavirus crap. But I wanted to show her inside; that and he had invited us in. It was great; the house was coming along great and I got to see my best friend for the first time since this crap fest began. It just made me smile from ear to ear. That and the fact that we spend the entire afternoon out of the house. Afterwards, we got to drop off blondies at my aunt's house. We didn't go inside because my uncle has a weak immune system from having gotten over cancer years prior. Before we left, my aunt and I did our secret handshake that we've been doing since I was a kid. Just doing that for the first time since all this started really brightened up my day. I truly live for the simple moments in life and that was one of them. To quote Loki from Infinity War, "the sun will shine on us again." For once, that dick-headed trickster's words ring true. I end by saying, go outside and exercise for as long as you want; stay safe y'all.
