I guess technically spoiler warning for Risat, Norim, and Sana but it is an actual content warning for something awful

the latest episode has aliens that look a lot like babies, just with little antenna dealies and brown hair. they’re small and squishy and have tiny little fingers and shiny eyes and clumsy little toddler gaits. and they’re all adults and their actual babies look like bug larvae. and risat kills a bunch of them for threatening him, and it’s horrible. he builds a sonic vibration thing and it melts them and they cry and scream in their tiny toddler baby voices. and then he makes fun of norim for picking one up and comforting it and makes him drop it.

I know it’s supposed to be ~commentary~ about shallowly allowing our brains to be hijacked by spring biology and judging things based on their appearances and it was on their website which included an agreement that they weren’t going to have any content warnings in exchange for getting to watch episodes early

but nobody has a choice about loving things that look like babies and it was awful and gross and upsetting and I don’t want to keep watching them early. I just want to sit under a blanket and watch cartoons of normal amentan babies where nothing horrible happens.

         blend will say to herself later on that considering it all, she reacted fairly calmly—- if by grabbing @implsvly and attempting to drag him from the crime scene ( naturally failing when she finds herself skidding back in the gore ) is anything close to calm. blend finds herself warring between the two halves of herself; the side that looks into this very shit, that knows with each beat of her racing heart that every second spent standing over the corpse ( god—-- with what’s left, can it even be considered a corpse anymore? ) is another knot in the hangman’s rope around their throats. the other part of her, the part buried deep that makes her scars pulse, can’t help but consider ( despite knowing through and through who travis truly is ), what would be left of travis had his claws and fangs not made quick work of the supernatural now laying in pieces at their very feet. 

       it’s thanks to years and years of instinct that blend swallows her rising gorge, that she even remains upright at all despite the burning stink of blood sinking into her, grip shifting from the chimera’s shirt to his arm in hopes this time he’ll follow ( even if it’s just out of the ichor, anything that lessens the evidence of them ever being here is enough ), ❛ —-I’ll scream at y’later for being’ so fuckin’ chicken-shit stupid, for now—, ❜ solid smack! is given to the back of his head, ❛ —-don’t you dare get blood in my car. ❜

I have not had sex in a very long time because it has been too hot to touch other people and also because when I shut my eyes sometimes (mainly in sexual contexts or during high stress) I get weird visuals, usually graphic images of decaying flesh or bloody wounds or something else entirely the opposite of arousing. I hope this isn't just the state of my brain now
