Another sign in the making: “Everything will be OK“. This one will be hung in front of the municipal community center, once it’s finished. I wanted to do a rainbow, but not the kind that I’ve seen everywhere. I wanted to do my own rainbow, in my own style… So this is what I came up with. More soon. Progress! I finished my sign design today. I was going to paint the name of the municipality in gold, but then found that it didn’t stand out enough. So then, I tried pale blue. That didn’t work either. Back to white. I might still outline the letters with a slightly thicker navy blue line, so that it’s a bit more legible. Tomorrow I will put the first coat of polyurethane on, to protect the colours from harsh UV rays. The sign will be facing south, so will get sunshine, pretty much all day long. Hopefully, with enough coats of the really good (expensive) polyurethane that the municipality bought for this project, the colours won’t fade so quickly!
