Gorgyra is so relatable because i, too, would demand stories if i met nico and will. i absolutely would.
They're so soft.
"That I'm here. that I know you're upset" they both encourage each other to express their feelings but particularly regarding Nico that's such a huge thing because of how used he is to closing himself off.
I just got teleported to BotL and Percy's description of Nico and Nico's comments about being only around the dead
Nico must've disassociated so hard after Jason's death, this hurts, because this is my kind of grief and most people don't get it
Nico being emotionally vulnerable was something I wanted to see but was not ready for.
I'm not going to get over Jason's death if they just keep bringing it up like this.
When Rick said they're Orpheus and Eurydice coded he did mean it huh
They love each other so much🥲🥲
The coin🥹🥹
It wasn't only the chain, it's Nico's Ring!! I'm crying wtf, hold on, that's so precious, that ring was so important to Nico he gave it to Will...
Yes, tell him Will!! On a side note, I love Hiss-Majesty, the Trog ever (they use they/them pronouns)
I love how they're actually acknowledging the biggest issues in their relationship, communication is key Nico, even though I understand why your reluctant to share stuff
This whole part was devastating, Nico worrying about Will again, about how much being a healer must weight on him, whoever said we got nothing about Will's character needs to reread the book properly
so... the book is nico & will telling everything they've been thru to gorgyra?
I am so thankful for how Rick and Marc wrote tsats. While I am Reading it, it is healing my soul and is teaching me so much.
I love how relationships are portrayed there, and how different they all are. Like how Nico would still have this loneliness within him even if he is so happy with Will and so in love with him. Because loneliness is not the opposite of love and they Can quite coexist. Or Gorgyra who had to Say goodbye to her husband, so now she guides and collects lonely souls just like her. Or Persephone who made the effort to love Hadès. Or Percabeth who are so mature they recognise they love each other so much, they Can go through hell together. And Will, Always so confused about Nico and how to love him but Never once thought about giving up on him.
I love it so much. I haven't finished the Book but I have the feeling i will learn so Many valuable lessons at the end of this journey.
What We Know About Sepia
(last updated 2/19/26!)
Toshiya Sumi, codename Sepia, is a novelist known for his fishing skill. He writes under the pen name "Toshia Soomy". He joins the team as a “Phantom Idol”, or cognitive teammate.
His files are named with the codename "Sumitosi" instead of his canon codename Sepia. The exact significance of this, if any, is unknown.
His Japanese voice actor is Junya Enoki.
Toshiya was originally planned to be a Confidant of Nagisa’s, but it was stated almost a year later that he'd instead have a side story added in Version 4.1.2. Shortly thereafter, however, Toshiya placed #9 in the first anniversary Confidant vote, so he'll still eventually have a Confidant added as well.
His side story revolves around his reputation as the "Fish Whisperer", someone whose skill at catching fish is legendary. Nagisa goes to the fishing pond in Ichigaya with the intention of meeting and learning from him, but quickly discovers that while Toshiya's incredible ability to attract and catch fish is very real, Toshiya himself has no idea how he does it, and in general, gives very questionable advice.
However, the other people at the fishing pond like him, and he's evidently very good at helping them with their problems. Toshiya makes it clear he cares about the wellbeing of others, despite being otherwise a bit lazy and unreliable. His hopes for peace and harmony between people, and likes it when everyone gets along.
Nagisa later learns- after he and Toshiya are joined by Seiji Shiratori- that Toshiya is an author, who writes the books that Seiji is a huge fan of, and Seiji describes as being very well-written. While Seiji doesn't particularly get along with Toshiya up to this point, due to his laid-back attitude and questionable perspective on some things, Toshiya seems to like him, or at least like messing with/helping him.
Toshiya's life, despite his efforts, isn't carefree, however. For one, Toshiya has been on the run from his editor for the past four months (due to having not turned in the final draft of his next book, which was due then), and for another, after helping a girl escape an abusive, exorting host, the angry host has now come after Toshiya. Nagisa ends up needing to steal the host's heart in Mementos, as the man beat up Toshiya once and promised to do it again (while Toshiya himself wouldn't/couldn't fight back), while Seiji considers ratting him out to his editor to ensure his next book actually gets published someday.
Info on him in the real world originally stated: “An unemployed young man who often hangs out at the fishing grounds and is known as the “fish whisperer”. There was a glorious record of catching the fish king without a fishhook. Although he is not very old, he has his own unique logic of understanding emotions and life, and his words are often astonishing." However, it seems some of this was later retconned, most obviously with the statement that he's "unemployed" no longer being canon.
His in-game description was later changed to: "A young man who has been haunting the fishing grounds, his identity is unknown. Even if he doesn't cast a fishing line, fish will come close to him. He is known as the "Fish Whisperer" because of his incredible skills. Although he is full of mysteries, regular customers of the fishing grounds trust him very much. On the contrary, there are also rumors that he is running away from "something"."
Sepia's Persona Gorgyra (based on a nymph that lived in the underworld) is categorized as a Curse type, and resists Curse while being weak to Electric.
Gorgyra is an Assassin Persona, meaning he’s good at targeting single enemies, and his trait allows him to follow up a teammate, after they do damage, with a curse attack, whenever he has 14 "Verses". He has three curse attack skills: the first hits one enemy three times, and gives him three Verses of Hate (a Verse that increase the damage of his follow up); the second hits all enemies twice and gives him two Verses of Healing (a Verse that allows his follow up to also heal the weakest teammate a bit); the third hits one enemy four times and gives four Verses of Passion (a Verse that increases the damage of his follow up and converts some of it to almighty damage). His passive skills cause his follow up to deal more damage to enemies afflicted with the curse status effect, and allow the number of Verses he has in total to also increase his follow up's damage.
In combat, his melee weapon is a cane, while his ranged weapon is a duck's foot pistol. His Highlight is shown from 0:51 - 1:01 in this video, and it hits one enemy with a curse attack three times, then buffs the attack of his follow up.
His recommended card sets are 1) 8 of Swords (Hindrance) + Princess of Swords (Awareness), 2) 4 of Coins (Power) + Princess of Coins (Growth).
The game recommends teaming him up with 1) Fleuret and Riddle, 2) Closer.
A Summer version of Toshiya appears in the 2025 Summer event, though not as a separate unit or costume. His appearance:
Persona Fusions except they get more chaotic
“We had defeated Gaea. You were standing in the doorway of your cabin.”
Will laughed softly. “I remember that, too. I think I scolded you pretty hard.”
“You did,” confirmed Nico. “But it was the way you did it. You made it clear that you wanted me around. You said you wanted me to come to the infirmary and help, because... because you could use a ‘friendly face.’”
“It was true. And you did help.”
“You brought me closer instead of rejecting me,” Nico said, his voice cracking. “I’d never been called a friendly face. Ever. You made me rethink everything—my place in camp, my crush on Percy, my future. It took you scolding me like you were the camp director to make me realize that I was... wanted.”
“Gorgyra sniffled, then wiped her eyes. “You’ll have to excuse me,” she said. “It is hard not to react to something like that.”
Honestly, same Gorgyra. 😭😭😭
The way gorgyra was described in the preview was so ominous like "I will take out your soul" when in reality she's like "omg they were roommates
