“…Do you promise not to freak out?” Even though the mention of ‘old magic’ already had his heart beating fast, concern gnawing at his chest, Gorou did his best to smile. “I swear on my name, I will remain calm and help you in any way I can.” Aether sighed and quietly lowered his hood, not meeting his eyes. A pair of fluffy, golden dog ears sprang up, freed from their confines. Gorou blinked. And blinked again. The ears were still there.
