Night Life || closed with gosaii

Nuada liked this time of night, when there were very few humans about and he could wander up from the tunnels to feel the wind and catch his breath in the city’s wide open spaces. Even a simple street was far more open than the cramped, still subway tunnels that he was used to. Sometimes, he needed to just get out and breathe.

He could wander almost freely, so long as he avoided the random soldiers - what were they called again? police? - that sometimes stood watch over the the city at night. On occasion, he could even indulge himself of ridding the world of an ignorant and useless human or two, for drunks and drug addicts were common, sometimes wandering out alone in their attempts to make it to their respective abodes, only to get lost or pass out on the sides of streets. Nuada felt the world was much better off without such people.

However, when he came across a female alone and smoking one of those pollution-causing chemical sticks he hated so much, he paused to watch for a moment. For some reason, he always felt badly for harming females… even though they were often just as bad as the males. And so, instead of just killing her, he sought to amuse himself by actually talking to her.

Moving as close to her as he cared to get, some ten feet away, he addressed her. “Have you any idea how harmful those smoke-sticks are to the environment?” he asked.
