What if we just quietly sat together in the same room. We could be cuddling, we could be near each, we could even be on opposite sides of the room, but what matters is that we're in each other's proximity. We might even both be wearing headphones/earbuds. We could be engaged in similar tasks, or not. I get up. I'm getting cheese and refilling your water. I think about how I should have asked. I have to go back half a dozen times because I forgot the cheese or the water or my phone. I set down the water quietly, and settle back into my spot. It is quiet, and it is soft, and it is romantic (at least to me).
