Amicae Optima

A fanfic in which Got7 are studying in four of the most known universities in the Philippines.

(A.N.: Sorry it was a bit late. Things came up and I couldn’t update this. This chapter’s a bit challenging for me to do but I wish that I still don’t offend anybody ;-; And again, thanks @jbssi for being my proofreader and especially my supportive friend!! I still love you, fam!!!!!)

CHAPTER 1 // CHAPTER 2

 “Bro, is this seat taken?” Wang Jia Er, or Jackson as he likes to call himself, took a seat that’s currently occupied by a luxurious bag. The student looked up after hearing his question and glared. He took his expensive bag before letting out a grumble and rolled his eyes. When the bag was settled on the floor, Jackson sat down immediately and placed his backpack beside it. He was late, again, for his elective class which is general psychology. The subject piqued his interest a lot since he’s a communication arts major and also liked being surrounded by people. Talkative would always be the reply when you ask people about their first impression of him. And he didn’t quite disappoint those who answered.

“Your face shows that you’re not interested. Our prof’s magaling naman in teaching ah?” He asked and raised a brow to his seatmate. A glance at the latter’s ID revealed his identity,

“Kunpimook Bhuwakul?”

“Oh my god, please stop. I’m not interested din to listen sayo, bro.” Jackson feigned a hurt look on his face when the professor announced that the class is dismissed, successfully shifting his attention. He turned to look at his seatmate who’s grabbing his bag off of the floor.

“I just want a new friend lang,” he looked at him intently and received a glare,

“Lahat naman friends mo puta ka.”

With that reply, Jackson pouted and felt defeated in playing his own game.

  UST

 His hands were trembling and his brain couldn’t process properly while holding the tiny needle. He should be pricking his partner’s finger, which is also the current president of the student council. The only thing he could do was to stare at the sweaty palm in front of him.

“Youngjae, ayusin mo. I’d rather fail this subject kesa pumalpak ka. Masakit yan, gago,” Jinyoung hissed while trying to hide his nervousness as he was anticipating the pain. He couldn’t though as Youngjae looked at him and his face radiated what he was trying to hide.

“Eto na,” the needle punctured through Jinyoung’s index finger after Youngjae inhaled and held his breath. A string of profanities came out from the former,

“Putangina mo talaga Choi Youngjae! Ang lalim nung tusok mo!” Yet he just exhaled and stared at the bleeding wound. Jinyoung slapped him lightly on his cheek but still didn’t get a response. Tears formed in his partner’s eyes and shocked consumed his body wholly.

“Ayoko na. I don’t want to be a nurse if I would still hurt a patient kahit ganto lang,” Youngjae whispered and muffled his sobs. His partner, who took the needle off of his finger, sighed and shook his head in disappointment. It was never his intention to make his classmate cry in front of him especially Youngjae. The lad in front of him is known to be a ray of sunshine in his college and nobody dislikes him.

“Umiiyak ka na naman Youngjae. Kahapon lang naiyak ka din sa klase kasi naawa ka sa mga palakang nadisect.”

The professor said and Youngjae let out his suppressed mourning.

“Ayoko na din.” Jinyoung let out a groan as he thought of the time when everything went wrong after accepting Youngjae’s offer to be a duo with him.

The boy snickered while walking towards his next classroom. He covered his mouth trying to be quiet while the other was holding his phone. It displayed a post from a Facebook page called Singles in U-Belt in which he had messaged the admin to post a picture of his best friend along with his qualities;

Kim Yugyeom

-Fuccboi na walang naffucc -Basta dancer, sweet lover -Raindrop, drop top, siya sa top -Albino na arnis ang datingan -Magaling gumiling at ibabaon niya talaga ng malalim

He immediately closed the application when his phone notified that he received a text. Knowing who it was, he bit his lip as he attempted to calm himself afraid of cracking-up loudly.

Bambam, his nickname, drowned the hallway with his laughter when he couldn’t hold it in anymore. He always liked pranking Yugyeom because it seemed like his comrade never got irritated by any of his stupid jokes. His cackling came to an abrupt stop when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He peeked and saw his classmate that was trying to have a conversation with him earlier,

“Bro, why are you so masungit?” Jackson asked and was puzzled on why the lad was laughing vehemently. He was trying to speak but every time he tried, he struggled to breathe and only produced high pitched wheezes.

“Yoko na fam,” Bambam paused as he wiped a tear in his eye and that’s when he only noticed Jackson in front of him with a confused look.

Jackson really wanted to befriend him, but after witnessing what had happened, he wondered if it would still be a good idea to continue what he intended in the first place.

  UP

Jaebum slowly opened his eyes and the sight revealed that he was in an unfamiliar place. The smell of ammonia kicked in shortly after when a hand waved in front of him,

“Oks ka lang ba?” Besides not knowing where he currently is, a girl seated next to where he is lying appeared to be concerned about his condition. He quickly grasped what was happening and figured that he was in the university’s clinic. His hand reached for his temples and tried getting up when she blocked his body and pushed him downwards slowly.

“You need to rest. You fainted kase sobrang ganda ko. Charot.”

She was no goddess, Jaebum thought, but she was beautiful. He rarely had any interest in girls yet she captivated him not just with her good looks but also her witty sense of humor.

“Pansin ko nga eh. You’re really breathtaking.” Jaebum thought out loud unconsciously and the girl was flustered by his comment. She avoided his gaze and looked away; her cheeks emanated a hint of blushing.

“Grabe. You just fainted pero I think you need to have a CT Scan sa brain mo,” She retorted and rolled her eyes slowly mocking Jaebum’s remark. He has defined facial features but she liked the two consecutive moles on his upper right eye. It looked like a tattoo of some sort but figured out that it wasn’t when she caressed it with her finger while he was sleeping earlier.

“Jaebum. Im Jaebum,” He held out his hand when the girl glanced at it then let out a sigh.

“Christine,” She accepted and shook his hand. They maintained eye contact for a while and agreed on exchanging numbers in hopes to get to know each other better. Both were looking forward to what the future may bring also compromising that they should meet up soon. Jaebum glimpsed at his wristwatch and realized that his class would be in five minutes. He quickly got up and muttered his goodbye’s before dashing off to the building his next lecture would be in.

Christine exhaled and embraced her phone closely before whispering to herself,

“Nahanap ko na ang icing sa ibabaw ng cupcake ko.”

(A.N.: I was really inspired by the Big 4 AU fic and decided to try it with Got7 since the former starred EXO. Anyways, this is a parody of some sort of what comes to a Filipino’s mind when somebody mentions the universities. I hope I don’t offend anybody with this T-T. Also, credits to my awesome and beautiful friend @jbssi for being a proofreader and editor. I love you fam!)  

CHAPTER 1

ADMU

“Tangina bro, it’s so traffic here in Katip. I don’t think I can make it sa class on time.”

Mark Tuan, a 4th yr management engineering student in Ateneo, hissed through his phone, disappointment spread across his face. He’s been driving on the same road for what felt like years and he still couldn’t calculate the time that he would reach his university before his first lecture starts.

“Sige, I’ll just write your name sa attendance sheet. If Sir would have it passed around, not checking it himself.”

“Thanks, bro. I’ll call you when I get there. G ako for Starbs.”

A sigh of relief escaped from the 21 yr old’s lips as he hung up the call. He could’ve been there right now but he was too tired from pulling an all nighter to make the theoretical framework of his group’s thesis and overslept. He was also not the type to be late for anything unless an emergency comes up on the way to where he should be. This was an exception though since instead of waking up at the loud rings of his alarm, he decided that he deserved 5 more minutes of sleep. His situation right now proved that his decision was wrong.

UP

Heavy panting was all that he could do. He had been running for a few minutes in hopes to arrive at the coffee shop he frequented. With eyes roaming for any potential danger out there to halt him from sprinting, he muttered profanities between shaky breaths,

“Shit,” his face showed both disappointment from forgetting his composition notebook and desperation that somebody might have found it but won’t return it to him.

He realized that his destination was close and started to slow himself down. Fixing his black shirt, he stopped completely in front of the shop. His breathing still hasn’t gone back to normal when he pushed the door and a single chime echoed through the room. The sound garnered the attention of some customers seated next to him.

“Oh Sir? Bakit po kayo hinihingal?” The cashier asked with an obvious tone of curiosity laced in her voice.

“Notebook,” was all he could say as he was still struggling to catch some breath. A figure stood up in his peripheral view and his eyes automatically followed it. He saw a girl, also a student of his university, wave her hand and walk up to him after she caught his attention. As she got closer, he noticed a notebook in her hand and automatically recognized it. It was his composition notebook, the one he left an hour ago.

She handed it assuming it was his.

IM JAEBUM

His name scrawled on the cover.

He took it immediately and looked up to say thanks but darkness flashed his eyes suddenly as he felt light-headed. His shortness of breath took its toll as he dropped to the floor losing his consciousness.

“Ganon ba ko kaganda for a guy to literally be out of breath pass out in front of me?”

And that was the last thing Jaebum heard before he completely shut down.

[...] short notice for got7 ph fan meeting

So yeah, Got7 is in my country rn. They’re here in the Philippines for their first ever fan meeting with igot7ph. They’ll be having a meet and greet in one of the biggest arena. The place is just two hours away from me and still, I can’t get to the event. This is just heart breaking! I really want to go but I have to finish my studies and all (since I’m rooting for the top spot since I’m graduating hahaha). There’s next time, right? Got7?

Anyways, for all the people that’ll go, I hope that no one gets hurt (if there’s a stampede, we’ll never know) and I hope everyone have fun. Please be aware of your belongings. Your camerasssss your gadgetssss Got7 and Got7 fans ph, stay safe! :)
