  “So...no one has tried to swipe the Master Emerald from you lately right?” Amelia scratched her nose in curiosity, “G.U.N kinda wants to know, don’t take it the wrong way, they just want to make sure it’s safe at the moment. Even though I told them you’re more than capable of fighting thieves off.”

   She could help but let an annoyed frown creep up on her lips, constantly trying to remind the agency that her friends were able to protect the world on their world was beginning to wear down on her patience.

It wasn’t unusual for a strenuous day of work to leave Rouge exhausted and she was thankful to have someone to lounge around with when she got home. The uncomfortably hot weather didn’t help her stop feeling drowsy when they bunched up together on the couch, so she soon found herself leaning up against him with her head in his lap.

“Yeah, I’m a little sleepy. You’re just so dreadfully boring.” She joked, a smile on her face as she tapped her finger lightly on his leg. “Sorry. You probably think I’m so rude, dozing off lik that.”

Rouge hummed thoughtfully, still idly messing with the echidna's quills from her position on the massive gemstone behind him. It was mostly to try and annoy him, but it was also something just felt like doing. Getting to pester her favorite red-headed rival was enough of an excuse to do anything, honestly. In her opinion, he deserved it for all the trouble he caused her.

              "But I already know you won't. Selfish boy."

She punctuated this by tugging sharply on the quill in her hand. Not hard enough to seriously hurt him, of course, but enough to hopefully cause Knuckles a little discomfort.
