Well my individual ride to regionals is over. Last checked I was around 74th place. It’s a kick in the gut & definitely feels like an epic fail, then I remind myself on 2/17 I found out I was 6wks pregnant. I went into the open with the mindset of I will continue to try my best and hopefully my team will benefit. After wk 3 I still looked pretty good. But, when you’ve gained some weight, feel more winded than you usual do & consciously know I cannot push to that blackout mode all of us competitors know you must go to in order to get to where you want to go – 11.4 didn’t go to well. I knew it would take nothing short of an amazing score to rebound from that and 11.5 was not going to allow that to happen with all the burpees. I have no doubt that if I wasn’t pregnant I would’ve qualified (maybe it sounds cocky to say that, but I don’t care) – my coaches Eric, Bryan, Derek did an amazing job programming and coaching us this year to prepare us. 3 out of 5 of my scores counted towards our team and placed us in 19th – I’m content in knowing I still contributed to that. I love my teammates and never wanted to let them down. I’m now 12wks going on 13. Don’t worry – after I pop this kid out, I’ll be back with a VENGENCE next year.
