Too much censorship is just as bad as having none at all. Children need to be exposed to things, because if they don't see it, eventually, it's not like it's not going to happen, but it's just that there needs to be a balance.

It’s hard when you go and fight for a role, because they’re like "I don’t know, man, you mean, it’s like the blue girl from Avatar? I don’t know, I want to go down a different route." I feel like a little bit of an underdog because I live in space, nobody wants me here on Earth.

You can't help but change when you have a kid, and for me it was just a sense of I didn't feel like anything was missing in my life and it wasn't. It all came at just the right time, and now if I am absent from my son, I do feel like something is missing.

People think of Latina women as being fiery and fierce, which is usually true. But I think the quality that so many Latinas possess is strength. I’m very proud to have Latin blood.
