Goth Magazines
Heya!
A while back I stumbled across some old CD compilation of goth sounds (Gothic Compilation if anyone remembers) that spurred me on a journey I honestly wasn't prepared for.
What was and what survived?
While no where near a "definitive list" I would say this has become a good primer for goth magazines all the way from zines in the 80s to magazines that made it to today. If you are by chance itching for more after, I highly recommend checking out https://www.theaegisarchive.org/
Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed researching!
Look, I know all the arguments about how print magazines are a dying breed, that everyone looks for this sort of content online anyway, but I really miss physical printed issues of magazines for the goth subculture. Are there even any print goth magazines left? Gothic Beauty has gone digital, as has Auxiliary. And I don’t know of any others that may have been out there.
