It's a warning. A warning that, coupled with the way she's pointed an unwavering finger at them;; should be heeded. Her body language is angry;; shoulders tight as she makes a point to brush past the other person without shoulder checking them. It's a miracle that she isn't running her mouth more. That she isn't yelling yet.

No--- instead, Artemis is gripping the baseball bat she'd been using even tighter than before. Slamming it into glass the second she gets the opportunity.

"--Get the fuck out of my way." Is repeated, voice raising just below a yell as she fights the urge to turn around and slam the bat into them. Instead, another plane of glass is broken;; and she seems to not particularly care about if it will set off any alarms. Suddenly, she's spinning around on her heel, words pouring out at an impossible speed. "--are you fucking kidding me--- you fucking--"

It's dilapidated since then.

It's mostly Two-Face's goons holding the best chef they can find hostage while he puts a meal together, but it's a place with chairs and tables and little fake candles.

"I didn't go after them for the longest time because Gilda and I had our second date here. The first was a disaster - but second time's the charm or whatever."

He wipes his face a moment, red wine spilling through his teeth despite his best efforts. It's always like that. People don't look at him the way they look at Waylon - sure, his deformities are disturbing to some, but for others, it just provokes pity. He hates being pitied almost as much as he hates eating an entire vial of acid.

Waylon, though... Harvey's seen enough people terrified of him, looking at him like he's anything but human. Mutants, freaks, the whole lot of them.

And why shouldn't they be? Human beings just can't seem to hack it in Gotham. Freeze, Ivy, Harley, even the Joker - all changed, all deformed by this place. Harvey and Waylon, too.

Someone refills his glass and grabs him another napkin.

"Then the whole Holiday thing happened, and wham, bang, boom - motherfuckers were dropping like flies. Holiday put about three restaurants out of business. I'm not bent about it, but I miss the cannoli."

Damn. Why did no one ever write those family recipes down?

"Is it safe to assume we can skip the soup and salad?"

A finger is pointed at the purse;; a silent warning that she will not like the outcome of that hit is followed through.

(from Nadya @gotham-menace) It's not unusual for strange people to come to the Blackwood estate at odd hours of night, and it's hardly a rare occurrence for them to be covered in blood. What is unusual is just how feral this one seems. Nadya hurries the disheveled stranger into a small room hidden away behind a secret door, gesturing for her to sit on the (wrapped in plastic, because Nadya isn't an idiot) couch. There's a first aid kit sitting on the table, as well as a sealed pack of sterile needles and thread.

"I'm not going to ask questions. Don't tell me anything, alright? The less I know, the better, for both of us. Patch yourself up, or I can help if there's anything you're not able to reach. The door to the left is a bathroom, wash off if you need to. I'll find you clean nightclothes, and have what you're wearing now clean by morning."

artemis is ushered into the secret room and she is--- confused. she'd been expecting the rest of her payment. not somewhere to clean off.

not that she's mad about it, of course. she drops onto that plastic wrapped couch just moments after walking into the room. taking a second to catch her breath as she eyes the other woman suspiciously. "you, uh--- y'don't got any beer in here, do you?"

Nadya has insisted that Artemis stay for a bit after receiving her payment. She places a hefty plate of green bean casserole and chicken breast in front of the mercenary. "Eat. You can't leave until you do."

artemis isn't normally someone to turn down food. ---but there's something about being told what to do that makes her shoulders lock up. her nose wrinkles, staring down at the plate of casserole and meat, as if it has offended her personally.

"---you're kidding." is said, bluntly, as her gaze darts back up towards nadya.

Two-Face squints a little with his good eye.

"Yeah, no - they're definitely --- dead. I can appreciate their commitment to the aesthetic with the... blood."

He supposed it was interesting to look at, aesthetically. He could appreciate art. Part of him wanted to see what he could of the mess, but the cell it was all in was already being cleaned out.

"That's at least two dudes worth of blood. Hope they find 'em both."

He wasn't involved here. Honest.
