It was nearly tiring to keep up with the amount of twists and turns in the under ground. So many copy cats, children, and cults grew around the original villains he tried to defend against. It was easy for some to slip, it would be understandable.

But not for Batman. When he sees the girl in the alley, he can mark her from a mile. It helped that she made herself known to a connecting group. He sighs out heavily.

“Mm, it’s so cliché for us to hang out on rooftops, don’t you think? Heroes and villains always hang out on rooftops, and I don’t really know why. It makes sense for the good guys I guess, they have to be vigilant or whatever, but us? Maybe we just like the rush of being up high.”

Emily was well-aware that she was rambling and the girl across from her probably couldn’t care less, but Emily liked to talk. She was good at it. The brunette sat on the ledge of the building, one leg dangling carelessly off the edge, kicking in the summer breeze. She was dressed in her Shades gear, and in one hand she held a water bottle filled with a pink liquid. She held it out to the other girl and arched a brow.

“Wanna sip? It’s just pink lemonade and coconut rum. So sweet, you forget that it’s alcohol.”
