Hi there! Just saw your ask, and I think the main thing is to just make sure it is not cupcake shaped, and to get one with a decent amount of poof.... super cheap ones from china are not necessarily going to cut it. Personally I like to make my petticoats using cheap netting with each layer being 3x as long as the top one because it yields a lot of volume. For that shape I think you may only want 2 layers with the 2nd layer beginning mid thigh so that it looks sleeker and doesn't poof as much

Do you just.. pull stills out of a video, then? That is actually the more confusing part to me, I was making crappy animated text icons on LJ in 2002
