Textualis Quadrata is the principal script of the Middle Ages or the Gothic Period. There are 6 major ‘high book hands’ which derive from TQ, and a myriad of vernacular and semicursive scripts in the period too which link to the TQ. This is, historical, ONE of the Blackletter Hands. Blackletter in its contemporary context is usually NOT THIS, but is used to described a bastard (blended) alphabet, mixing , Textualis Quadrata, Textualis SemiQuadrata, Fraktur and possibly a few other scripts. Check your historical sources first. Full vid on IGLive and in the @facebook group PAScribe Calligraphy Classes. This video is to show the students participating in the quarterly year-long class in Dallas how the rhythm works. @teamspellbinders @speedball_art @johnnealbookseller @paperandinkarts @pelikan_international @tncaligrafia @angievangalis #calligraphy #gothicscripts #blackletter #textualisquadrata #speedballc2nib #pelikan4001brilliantbrown (at London, United Kingdom)
