Short Week!
Hope everyone had a safe yet enjoyable Labor Day weekend. I didn't get around to tying anything new, but I did get some work in. I managed to acquire 40 Green LightBanz™ during my weekend travels. A fellow cordist on the West coast exhausted all efforts to find ANY in his hometown, so he sought my assistance. It was much like a scavenger or treasure hunt. Sorting through shelves and bins in over 12 stores from Sanford, Lake Mary, Casselberry, Oviedo, Orlando to St. Petersburg and grabbing up those I could find. With that said, what's your favorite LightBanz™ color? -Dave

More often than not, I end up making bracelets at the market. So, have your tools and supplies handy. If you want to stock some inventory, stick to 3 sizes. Small, Medium & Large. More often than not, I end up making bracelets at the market. So, have your tools and supplies handy. If you want to stock some inventory, stick to 3 sizes. Small, Medium & Large. For me these sizes are: Small - 7.5” (wrist size 5”-6”) Medium - 8.5” (wrist size 6”-7”) Large - 9.5” (wrist size 7”-8”) You’ll wear yourself out trying to custom make every time. Popular weaves are, of course, the Cobra/Solomon Bar. It’s the most recognizable and familiar to folks. Variations of the Cobra do well in that regard. Bright colors appeal the kids and the ladies, guys like the earth tones. Other items that do well are bracelet kits and key fobs. Best to not expect much your first time and be prepared to educate the masses about paracord, it’s benefits and intended use. Stick to your prices! Folks can buy crap paracord items all day at the brick & mortar stores. If they gripe, educate them as to what they’re paying for. Don’t let a cobra bracelet go for less than $8 Have some method of accepting credit cards. I highly recommend PayPal. It IS my cash register! Have at least $30 cash on you in ones, fives and tens and bring about $2 in change of each coin type. Hand out business cards, with and without purchases.
