Androids don’t get cold, so by default this is kind of connor, lol. (even if he did he would still give it up, because he’s that much of chivalrous knight)

Oh Sophie! She never really thought she was thin enough to get picked up, but her boyfriend’s android strength has her covered! :) She loves getting picked up by him...shamelessly feigns her feet hurting so he can bridal carry her :)
Who compliments the other in front of everyone?
They both do in equal amounts? Sophie tells him how handsome he is, will do it in front of everyone, while Connor likes to brag about how amazing she is as an actress to anyone who will listen :)
Who is more likely to tell the other a pun and what is the other’s reaction to the pun?
Connor. Sophie will laugh though, because he does it with gusto it’s just impossible not to be charmed.
When one of them has a bad day, what does the other do to help cheer them up?
Connor plays a song for them and they dance when Sophie is having a bad day.When it’s the opposite, he likes to lay his head in her lap and have her stroke his hair.

hehehehe Okay so Connor would pick THAT dress she wore to their friend’s wedding, because it has so many good memories attached to it. (:P) Sophie would pick a floral Hawaiian shirt and wear a dress with the same pattern to go along with it :)

Sophie met Connor’s ‘dad,’ first if you really get down to it, but at the time it was just assumed Connor met sophie’s dad first. It went well, Richard just wants his daughter to be happy. Soon of course Connor is going to meet her mom. and well....

as for Sophie meeting Hank, he was skeptical of her being an actress, but once he met her he liked her. He was more so worried about the logistics of an android/human relationship, but he’s a hidden softie that believes love will find a way. (omg, lol.)
In a coffee shop AU, who would be the coffee shop employee and who would be the customer?
Connor would see Sophie in the coffee shop and buy a coffee from her everyday even though he would obviously never drink it :)
When they sit side by side, do they touch one another? For example, does one person has their arm around the other, do they sit holding hands, or linked arms, ECT.
OOOOOH FUCK YES. Okay, so Sophie likes to lay her head on his shoulder, and he’ll wrap his arm around her. If they’re watching a movie she’ll probably throw her legs on him, or he’ll put his head in her lap. They eternally hold hands too. Sometimes Sophie just likes to play with his hands :)
What is a small thing that one another does to make their partner happy?
Connor bakes her cakes or other small treats. It always makes her smile, Even smaller than that though (kinda nsfw) is he always makes sure to kiss her afters she cums <3.
Sophie kisses his cheek and tells him he’s handsome. Always makes him feel good :) He always liked it when she throws his hands over his head during sex <3 (her way of saying I’m in control now!)
What would they do to celebrate their one year anniversary?
Go walk through the park, maybe stay at a fancy hotel with a nice shower and bath. He’d try to cook a really elaborate meal too.

So Sophie knew she loved him after the hibiscus thing in story, but she didn’t tell him until he found out and told her at their friend’s wedding in Ann Arbor. Connor knew then, but he first fell in love the first time they danced together in her apartment.
Who likes to give the other hugs from behind followed by a kiss?
Connor <3 He likes to bury his head in her hair.
Who would make a playlist for the other person? What would be featured on the playlist?
I can see them both working out one together? Sophie would suggest it as a joke, but then Connor would be like YEA and she would be like, ok guess we’re doing this, and then they go through every song that meant something to them (which is a lot) and they cry and get emotional. Some highlights are “Your Song” by Elton John, “take on me,” “Now or never,” “play me,” by Neil Diamond....( i need to make a big ass playlist for them, lol.)

OH HECK YEAH like her dad is so awesome and chill and is literally huh my daughter is dating an android that told me once he fell off a building but hey he treats her right and he likes the Detroit Gears but her mama Dr. Crystal Anticosti of Rhetoric and composition is a whole other kettle of fish.
like Connor kinda don’t like her that much already because she didn’t see soph in her play and she also was unfaithful to Sophie’s dad, but like Sophie says, there was good times, and he would want to be at least understood, and not have a hostile relationship.

“Sophie,”
“Hmmm,” she hummed, moving to her back. “It’s too early.”
“Too early to kiss you?”
She shifted from her side to her back. Connor, fresh and new in the morning when she was groggy and gremlin-like. None the less, he kissed her like she was sleeping beauty.
“Never,” she said.
He wrapped his arm around her waist, curled up closer to her form. “You had a good sleep, didn’t you?” she asked, stroking his hair that even sleep couldn’t untidy.
He nodded.
“No bad dreams?”
“None.”
“Ah.” She kissed the top of his head. “Good.”
“It’s nice to wake up with you.”
It was, she agreed. Yet she had a pondering. “How come you look so good in the morning?” she asked, rubbing sleep from her eye.
“It’s the pajamas.”
She chuckled.She was glad he liked one of her more outlandish gifts, the blue satin pajamas she saw in the men’s department at the mall, and thought Connor would look good in. How right she was.
“You’re beautiful in the morning,” he said softly and suddenly, as if he read her thoughts and her insecurities.
“At least you think so.”
“I know so, wildflower.”
At her secret name she kissed him again, and it was lazy and slow and perfect for early mornings. He grasped her hand and his skin hummed, his body hummed at the places she touched him, and he moved to lay between her thighs. His breath against her inner thighs, lips everywhere save where she needed the most. She took his hand. Their fingers interlocked. She sighed and his mouth was against her and she awakening in another way.
“You’re right,” she said, Connor rising to peer at her.
“About what wildflower?”
She pushed him to his back. “Everything.”
“Naturally.”

What have you learned from writing OIL? (as a writer, person, etc. I hope this isn't too vague).
not at all! I had to think about this one for a bit and ruminate a little :)
As a writer I learned that I should not be afraid of seemingly strange concepts and I should embrace them. “Actress and a robot fall in love.” Kind of weird when you put it like that, but I really like it. I learned to appreciate different ways of writing and not just stick to my typical formulas, learned how to open my eyes to things and see human emotions the way someone would see them for the first time. I learned to find beauty in the mundane, celebrate that for it’s wonder. I learned that quirky and idiosyncratic characters are awesome.
I think too part of writing this story has made me more acute and aware of things I already believed to be true. For example, (this may sound silly) but my mom is really not happy with the way she’s aged, even though I think she looks great. So Connor (and this started to become apparent, will become more so coming up) wanting to age with Sophie and grow old with her, something we take for granted and maybe not want, is something I wanted to romantize. Also, a big thing of him just wanting to sleep with her, (in the literal sense) was also something that was important to me. Basically where I think I’m going with this is I learned to romanticize the things we may take for granted?
Ah, I could probably go on. I will have more to say when the story finishes :) thank you for this ask!

4. First impression of each other? Was it love at first sight?
Sophie was intrigued by him because the night they met, he came to her and asked if she was alright as she cried. Not love at first sight, but she was attracted and pulled toward him, and was intrigued by how ethereal he was.Plus...no one really stops to do a simple act of kindness? But he did. that meant so much. in terms of looks connor is pretty much sophie’s 100 percent TYPE and that’s the tea
You of course get the first meeting through Sophie’s perspective, but I always imagine Connor would have this thought that crying wasn’t good, something is wrong. and then she asked him the hard questions about what he wanted and he was intrigued. totally a step in the becoming deviant ladder
8.- What do the like best about their partner?
HE’S KIND. He asks her things not many people ask her. She feels important but more so she feels he values her words. It’s so important to her that he values her. He’s also such a gentle soul underneath it all.
Connor loves that Sophie lives a little differently than anyone else, sees color when others see in black and white. Understands nuance. Cheesily too, he would say the thing he likes the most about Sophie is “she likes me.”
12. Is there a wedding? What was the proposal like? Any kind of honeymoon?

33.What kind of presents do they get each other? Do they only do it on special occasions?
Well hibiscuses from Con, obviously. (Lol.) but sophie notices he likes forget me nots and would get those or him. After the Little Mermaid episode Connor would so buy her little mermaid statues and memorabilia. For things like Christmas they would buy each other practical gits (like a kitchen aid, lol.) but have “surprise I bought this because I love you” gifts throughout the year.
